... of rejig time. I've decided to update both my websites, this one and the Evershot one too. This site is quite small and all-of-a-piece: each page is in the same format. So here it is after the rejig. The main difference is that the whole page scrolls, including the navigation or menu column on the left. I shall have to put some 'Back to the top' links so that we can get back to see the menu when we are down at the foot of a long page.
The Evershot site is much more diverse and will need a lot of thought and testing. But the start of a new year is a good time to have a fresh look at it.

... of something that I have neglected for two years. But now there are some new things, particularly a gardening page, which I should have started as soon as I got to Evershot in 1988. There are, or will be, some new items on various pages, some as catch-ups and some as they will no doubt happen in the future.

... of something. Perhaps really only for my friends who I'm sure will be kind enough to understand!
There are some things much more personal here than I have put on the Evershot website.
Random thoughts ... as one might in a notebook. Not interesting or important, really, except to me.
Also a chance to experiment a bit with html.
I have been busy for the last few months transferring all my files from Windows to Linux. I ran my accounts, organiser, email, newsgroups, etc in parallel for a while, but now I have got everything up and running quite smoothly and have left Windows behind, I hope. There are still some minor things I have not tried very hard to get going: a webcam, for instance, and a Zip drive. The last thing I transferred was the two websites. The Evershot one I have been updating in Linux for the last two or three weeks. Now this is the first time for my own site. I hope no one will notice any difference. (If you should, please let me know.)
You can send me an email from the Evershot website. Just click on the link above and then go to the 'Have your say' page. (I may set up something similar here, if I can work out how!)
